ATHENS

The charming capital of Greece is Athens. This city is an ideal place for tourism and has been destination for travellers since antiquity. One of the many things that attracts tourists is its climate, one of the best climates in Europe, with hot summers and mild winters.
Athens is surrounded by mountains Ymmetos, Penteli and Parnitha, northwards and eastwards, and the Saronic Gulf southwards and westwards. It is located just a few kilometres from the port of Piraeus, which is the central commercial port and one of the biggest in Europe. This is a port you can sail away on almost all of the Greek islands.

Athens, the birthplace for civilization, the city where democracy was born is waiting to host you and leave you with unforgettable memories…memories that will make you visit that amazing city on more time… One can combine sightseeing, entertainment and relaxing holidays along the beach at Athens Riviera.

The most important archaeological monuments are: Odeion of Herodes Atticus, Olymbion, Roman Market, Panathinaiko Stadium or Kallimarmaro, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, and of course Acropolis which is Athenian trademark and is nominated to be one of the 7 wonders of modern world. Don’t miss visiting the treasures in the National Archaeological Museum as well.

In the capital you will admire many imposing neoclassic buildings, the Greek Parliament in the Syntagma square (the central and larger square of the city), Athens Academy and University, etc. Moreover you can take a walk in Monastiraki area which is a consumer paradise for both Athenians and tourists!

MAINLAND GREECE

Such a small country but so much to offer.

Greece is mostly well-known for its magnificent islands but there are also the interior areas that are worth visiting. Greece’s mainland is going to surprise you with its rich variety and pure charm but in fact there are few visitors that have already discovered the beauty of those incredible regions!

The north of the country includes parts of the historical regions of Macedonia and Thrace. To the south it narrows into a separate peninsula in its own right, which includes the regions of Epirus, Thessaly, and Central Greece. The latter includes the region of Attica where lies the capital of Greece, Athens, and the large offshore island of Evoia. Further south, the Peloponnese peninsula is separated from the rest of the Greek mainland by the Corinthian Gulf and the Isthmus of Corinth.
